Gumy=Yummy!! Did Safin hire Hernan to take the focus off himself??

Serious talk: What was with Venus’s hair this weekend? One minute it was in an afro, the next minute it was straight. Is she the Phyllis Diller of tennis? Or does that honor fall to Brittney Spears with those classic photos? (awesome btw!)

And to answer your question, I LOVE Mary. There’s something about her and her unstable constant crying that makes me want her to get her own show.

But you’re right. Flipper’s def better off with the puppy.

I agree Claireg. There’s something about Mary… that makes me want to up her meds.

I will take one of the team and be the first to say that HG can turn a gay girl straight.

Adding in: Just saw the Britany pics. OMFG. Let’s hope she isn’t the next celeb invitee into the VIP area at the US Open or I’ll have to start taking meds myself.

Lynn,
Oh thank you thank you for Hernan! Some years ago McEnroe was blathering on about who the handsomest guy was on the tour, and lo and behold, guess who he came up with? I made it my quest to go in search of pix, then I actually saw him in the stands, when he had more hair, and I couldn’t agree more with Mc. Pretty decent coach too. He’s a beautiful guy, yes he could turn a gay girl straight, or a straight boy gay, in fact he could straighten out any situation you have going. I’d better calm myself down and have a drink, I’m sure I’ll pull out of it.

Why would Safin want to upstage himself though? Must be desperate for a new coach I guess.

All requests for the Hernan Fan Club can be sent to Claire, Jill and Pat c/o OTB.

I actually got like 6 emails about this pic. And 2 of them used the Gumy is Yummy line! GMTA I guess.

I’m hoping for a full on Mary Meltdown tonight. If he boots her I’m boycotting this show. Which I needlessly should have already done, but I have no shame. I’m convinced that he winds up with Amanda.

You gotta be kidding me. Wimby to TTC too? I don’t get it. How is this good for the sport, broadcasting all these important events on a channel most of America doesn’t even get? This is beyond stupid. You don’t see the Golf Channel carrying Masters coverage, do you? I guess ESPN just loves Mike and Mike in the Morning that much.

On another note, I hope Jen finds some comfort and piece of mind.

Wow, I am speechless over gorgeous Gumy. Marat really knows his fanbase well, but I am severly disappointed the link doesn’t work. I hope Gumy helps Safin out a bit, if not he may end up on Age of Love 2! :P

I am addicted to Age of Love even though I it’s brainless (not gonna lie I’m watching it right now). Mary is the biggest head case on the show. The meltdowns crack me up, but Amanda’s jealousy and possesiveness positively creep me out. And to think, one year ago Mark P. won the Newport title.

What link doesn’t work??

I’m not sure how this is bad really. The deal will be the same as they had for Roland Garros. TTC will air live matches, ESPN2 will do their BS tape delay and then NBC will air the semis through the finals. So if you have cable, you get to see the matches on ESPN2 — and probably on TTC’s live streams. Plus, if you have DirecTV you can get TTC if your cable provider doesn’t carry it. And having the coverage of 3 Grand Slams will help many cable carriers decide to offer TTC. Sounds like a win-win to me.

We’ll see, I guess, but the idea of watching a stream on the computer doesn’t really fire me up, and I really don’t see this growing the sport. Hardcore fans will find a way, but they always have. And I can’t afford DirecTV.

For some reason the link to more Hernan pics wasn’t working for me last night. Maybe too much traffic?

Check out this story on Dmitry Tursunov’s goofy post match interview after winning in the first round of the Countrywide classic. I put it up on Digg. Hopefully this guy starts blogging again real soon.

Monty, I know what you mean. I think that TTC will start appearing in more cable systems soon though, so hang tough.

Nina, yea. Maybe that’s it. Who knows? Glad it worked out.

Hey Mike, thanks for the link. I actually put it in the news this am, so I was probably writing while you were leaving your comment! Anyway, if you like Dima’s ATP blog posts, you might wanna go check out his website, where he blogs every week or so. I don’t know if people realize that.

Btw, I just friended you up on Digg. ;)
