Ahem… the Doubles Revolution will not be televised. Which is sad. There is some great doubles going on at the French but you would hardly know it. I mean, the men’s draw even features AMERICAN players. Plus, there are some fun ladies teams this go round. Li Na and Jelena Jankovic are the strangest pair I think I’ve seen in a while. Well, there’s their next round opponents Dinara Safina and Shahar Peer, but you wouldn’t want to see that on TV, would you??

As for Ms. Lena D, she’s getting her tuchus handed to her by a rather rotund Bartoli. Luckily she has a future in sexy TV spots (and we’ll disregard the fact that it almost blinded cj for now).

I am in total agreement with you guys regarding televised doubles. It’s not insulting enough that they put them out on court 48, but they hardly get reported on even! I just looked, and noticed that Monfils is playing dubs with Wozniaki!! After the tight 4 sets he played with Day-vid (no longer Daveeed) Nalby, that is pretty amazing.

We totally need to give props to LaMouf for playing doubles after that killer four setter, even if they did get fed a bagel in the first.

But really. How unfair is it that they let Lisa Raymond and one of the Bryan’s play together? May as well just hand over the trophy right now.

Now that I think of it, I really wish I could watch doubles. And here’s a point to consider: Why can’t TTC show some of these doubles matches on their downtime? Not live, but on tape. Surely they could get rights? We’re not picky, we wouldn’t even ask for commentators. In fact, we’d prefer none, especially if it would be Gimelstob or Thomas Blake!!
