“I’m not only President of MySpace, I’m also a Client”

Whenever I am forced to look at anything Spadea-related on the Interweb (see here, here, here, here or here for examples), I find myself asking the question, “Did Vince Spadea invent MySpace? Or did he merely inspire it?”

Sam Querrey beat Spadea in his “comeback tour” tonight, ending his run in LA, so he should be showing up in DeeCee early. I’m really hoping he tries to lay some rhymes down next week at the Legg Mason. I don’t think they’ll let him play in a night match and scare the suburbanites, but maybe we’ll get to check him out trying to hawk his new book in one of the midway tents (see tame excerpt here).

Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against Vindawg. I find him highly entertaining in a ‘drunk uncle we only tolerate in hopes of avoiding the inevitable visit by a Dateline crew’ kind of way. I hope he ends his career by getting a gig at The Tennis Channel as Murphy Jensen’s replacement. It would make for much better TV to see Spadea out cruising around with another top 100 player in a Humvee looking for hookers than watching Jensen wasting 10 minutes of airtime on something called a “crapdog” (tee hee).

All in all, a pretty good idea. Thoughts?

Sorry if I crashed your browser with any of those links. Just proving a point. And FTR, SpadeUH doesn’t have a MySpace page, which is kind of ironical.

He’s a curiousity. Like anything in the Ripley’s museum, or on the Fox show Cops.

[...] As you probably read in the “News, Notes, Quotes and Barbs” section the other day, my blog was in The Washington Post’s Express section the other day. Good to know that even an esteemed rag like the Post isn’t above taking a little bribe (joke). I think the woman who runs the file must have gotten it in her clips and then read my smack talk on Vince Spadea because yesterday she slipped me a copy of his new book, saying that it was sent over by Vince’s publicist. We pretty much read the whole thing cover to cover during the change-over, and I can assure you it’s gripping. If Spadea needs a producer for his version of Entourage meets Arlis meets Da Ali G Show, give me a shout. [...]
